The need is great—and it continues to grow.

At Focus on Home, we have seen firsthand that families and individuals cannot truly move forward without a home at the center of their lives. Not just a roof overhead, but a place to rest, gather, and begin again with dignity.

When we started, we were filling a critical gap—one that too many people were falling through. I began in my garage, helping one family at a time, responding to a need that was both immediate and deeply human.

What became clear very quickly was this: a home changes everything.

As we grew, moving from one space to another across Oklahoma City, each expansion allowed us to take meaningful steps forward—serving more households and deepening our impact. With every home we furnished, we saw the same transformation: stability begins to take hold, and hope follows.

Now, 12 years later, we have stepped into a place of our own.

A home for this work.

And with it comes an even greater opportunity—and responsibility—to rise to the level of need in our community. To serve more families and individuals. To expand what’s possible. To ensure that when someone takes the brave step into housing, they are met with a space that truly supports their next chapter.

What started small has grown into something far greater than I could have imagined—but the heart of it remains unchanged.

One family at a time. One person at a time. One home at a time.
